What personal information do we collect and why do we collect it?
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the user agent string of their browser to help identify spam comments.
We may pass an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) to the Gravatar service to see if you are a member of the service. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here:

After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.
Media
When uploading images to the site, it is recommended to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract all location data from images on the site.
Contact forms – Cookies
When writing a comment on our site, you can decide whether to allow us to save your name, email address and website address in cookies. The saving is done for your convenience, so that you do not have to fill in your details again when writing another comment. The cookies will be saved for one year.
If you visit the login page of the site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is deleted when you close the browser.
When you log in, we will set a number of ‘cookies’ to save your login details and your display choices. Login cookies are valid for two days, and screen options cookies are valid for one year. If you select the “Remember me” option, your login details will be valid for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article. It will expire after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles or posts on this site may include embedded content (such as videos, images, articles, etc.).
Embedded content from other websites is considered a visit by the reader to the websites from which the content is embedded — and never a visit to the website that embedded the content.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
These actions are not affiliated with or endorsed by the website where the content was embedded, even if it led you to the content.
How long we keep your information
If you comment on content on the site, the comment and the data about it will be kept indefinitely, so that we can automatically identify and approve all subsequent comments.
For registered users of the site (if any) we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except for the username which cannot be changed).
Site administrators can also see and edit this information at any time and without any notice.
What rights do you have over your information
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data that we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal or security purposes.
